Why a tree-care-saw? What are the advantages and differences between a tree care saw and a conventional petrol chainsaw?
Basically, petrol chainsaws are heavier and not as comfortable for tree care as, for example, the FX-KS126, which is much lighter and therefore easier to handle. Often the engine power is the only difference, which is correspondingly higher with "large" chainsaws. If you are looking for compact flexibility, the FX-KS126 is the right choice for you!

This 2-stroke petrol saw weighs only 3 kg and is therefore very light in use; a big plus in terms of handling and safety. This is precisely why you choose a tree pruning saw. Due to its low weight, it is ideal for work in higher areas, such as the crown of a tree. In arboriculture, the chain saw is mainly used for cutting branches and cutting the top. Removing the top of the tree relieves the strain on a tree. If you own a wood-burning stove and provide the firewood yourself, you need a two-hand chain saw, not this saw.
With a blade length of 30cm (12 inches) our KS126 is ideal for delimbing trees. As this often takes longer, the weight of the saw is not irrelevant. The user, therefore, remains flexible and can fully concentrate on his work. The cutting length for this blade length is 26cm. The KS126 also allows replacing the 12" blade with a 10" blade (not included). With that blade size, the cutting length is only 22cm.
The maximum engine speed of the saw is 12,000 rpm and it has a capacity of 25.4cc. With its 0.7kW it has ample power for its applications. The "Easy-Starter" allows, as the name suggests, quick and easy starting!
The oil tank for the automatic chain lubrication is 160ml and can be refilled easily, the filling opening is conveniently located on the left side. The top handle petrol chainsaw has kickback protection with a mechanical chain brake, which provides additional safety when working. The fuel tank is slightly larger than the oil tank (230ml) and is located just above the oil tank, so it is also perfectly accessible.
